[Plugin: WP No External Links] Refferer

  • Hello. I have a problem:

    Why can’t I see the pass-through page? (for example why doesn’t it stop at http://www.mysite.com/goto/www.thatothersite.com). I tried switching 0 to 5 in the “meta refresh tag” in the “redirect2” function, but it still redirects in no time. I tried disabling meta refresh from the browser menu, but the same is hapenning. Can search engines see that pass-through page? Or to they see directly “www.thatothersite.com”. Because that would mean that the plugin has no effect for me.

    Actually, what I wanna do is changing “nofollow” in the meta refresh tag to “follow”, so that Google would follow the links on that page (I also want to change the link displayed on that page, so it does not point to http://www.thatothersite.com, instead it will point to the previous page on my site). That brings me to the second question: How can I add that link (the refferer) in that pass-through page? Is it possible to add this enhancement in a further release?

    @jehy

    Plugin not only uses javascript, but also server headers for redirect – in case user disabled javascript.
    Those are 302 redirects and search engines don’t see it as pass-through page.

    I didn’t understand the second part at all, sorry 🙂
