I just installed the plugin No Category Base compatible with WPML. I have landing pages set up for the main categories under http://www.url.com/landing-category, which happens to be the same name as the category. So what I didn’t realize is that once I turned on this plugin, it overrode the category view onto my landing page. So now instead of my landing pages we’re getting the standard category archive pages.
I deactivated and then deleted the plugin, but I still couldn’t get to my landing pages, even though that is how I have it set up in the menus. I tried giving the pages a different permalink name but then that caused a page not found. I was finally able to get my landing pages back by resetting the permalink structure.
How can I use this plugin correctly so that I can have the category landing pages instead of the archive pages for those 3 main menu items?
The site is here. See the categories Cómo se hace, Herramientas y suministros, Negocios, Mantenimiento y reparación (Seguridad is okay as category archives – that is how I had it set up.)
