[resolved] [Plugin: WP-Members] Registration fields/forms repeat several times on page (4 posts)

This is a great plugin. I've gotten the registration to work. Now, I am trying to set up a Register Page and a page for editing a registration.

The problem is on the Register page: http://peergroupma.org/register/ the fields/form are repeated numerous times.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I created a page called "register" and added this to the content area:<!--reg-area-->

Ultimately, I was hoping to use this for building a membership directory, displaying what members put in their fields. Not sure if this is possible.

Any help would be appreciated! Nancy

I figured out something. My blog theme http://peergroupma.org has 'content widgets' and I use them for header and various content areas. The 'Register' page registration form seems to be repeating in those widget areas, seeing them as content areas to use multiple times. Not sure how to fix except to create a unique layout with only one content area.

Solved it! Thank you. I created a layout with only one content area.

What you described is based on a conflict between the way the plugin handles content and themes/plugins/widgets that utilize multiple instances of The Loop. As long as there is only one instance of The Loop, you will be fine. Glad you were able to work it out.

Building a membership directory is definitely possible. The plugin stores all of its membership/registration information as part of the existing WP user tables (users and usermeta). You just need to work out a way to pull that data for display (you could refer to the way the plugin does this on the admin side for an example/ideas).
