The Dialogs and Error Messages section allows you to edit the text that shows up for people who are not logged in to a protected page. It says simple HTML is allowed and I’m trying to provide a link so that people who need a username and password can contact me. (Registration is off and the link goes to a contact form, but where the link goes doesn’t really matter.)
The problem is that anytime I add a quotation mark (
")it adds a backslash to the output. So links are created using the
<a href>tag but instead of a link to xyz.com it ends up as an unusable \xyz.com\. Again, the
<a href>tag does work but apparently quotation marks don’t, which makes a link impossible.
Is there a way to get around this limitation against quotation marks so that links can be created.
