By “editing some stuff in it,” do you mean making changes to the core code? If that’s the case, it is going to be nearly impossible for me to help you troubleshoot what might be going wrong.

The plugin is loaded with action and filter hooks, most key functions are pluggable, and all of the forms can be customized with CSS, so there rarely a need to make changes to the core.

The stuff I edited was only translations, since the plugin doesn’t have any option to do it.

I don’t know where’s the problem because I don’t remember of editing anything about the password reset.

I solved the problem, it was a stupid error mine.
It was just a problem with the url name of the pages, and the page that was being used was in the trash.

    Anyway,
    Thanks

I have another question: How can I allow the users to choose their own password while they’re registering on my website?

For translations, the plugin is localized, so you shouldn’t need to be editing the plugin itself. There are several languages included with the download. If you need another language, there is a .pot file also included.

You can create a password field by adding a text field in the fields tab in the plugin’s settings. For this to work correctly, the Option Name MUST be “password”.
