    Thanks.

Chad – Found this post on your blog, http://butlerblog.com/2011/07/25/customize-the-wp-members-stylesheet/

But wp-members.css doesnt show up under my theme editor. When I look for it on the plugin editor it shows that it is inactive.

Ok…so I put the 2011 css as my custome file and everything lines up now.

    last update…

no matter what .css page I put in the custom file, they all look the same and they are all lined up. when I remove that “optional” line and leave it blank, everything is out of alignment.

    Possible bug?

Addressing some of these items just in case someone happens across this…

The initial issue with the default style is that, not accounting for margins and padding, the width of the forms is 630px fitting into an area designated as 620px. That will cause a wrap.

You were on the right track looking at the post on customizing the stylesheet. You do NOT want to edit the file in the plugin editor (the one you did find) – any changes there will be overwritten when you upgrade the plugin.

The process the article recommends is to use one of the included stylesheets as a starting point and copy it to your theme folder. If you didn’t find it in your theme editor, it is likely you skipped the step of copying the file there. The reason this is recommended is so that you keep your customizations outside the plugin folder so you don’t overwrite them when the plugin is upgraded (assuming that you are also working in a child theme for the same reason) yet you can still edit it via an editor in the admin.

More advanced users may find it easier to save it somewhere else and use wp_enqueue_style to load it: http://butlerblog.com/2012/02/20/loading-custom-stylesheets-with-wp_enqueue_style/

Lastly, yes there are three included stylesheets (the default and two others). These should give you some additional ideas. http://butlerblog.com/2012/02/19/new-css-stylesheets-included-in-wp-members/

However, there is one last possibility, and that is using no styles. As of posting this answer, that is actually what you have. Whatever you specified for loading the stylesheet is not loading, so what you are seeing is not the 2011 stylesheet, but actually is no styles applied (which can be a good place to start from).

I was writing my answer when you put that last post in there… no, there is no bug – my guess is “operator error” somewhere 😉 You’ve gotten something amiss on your end.

Found it! You have http://www.medicsontheballcom as the domain… that ain’t gonna work 😉 you need a .com in there.

Thanks Chad. I fixed the typo…I see the different styles now, but none of them actually looks as good as before I fixed the typo 🙂

Think I’ll put the typo back 🙂

“Think I’ll put the typo back :)”

Well, I think the best solution for you might be to start with a blank stylesheet, then build out as needed. I think, at minimum, you’ll want to apply something to align the reCAPTCHA.

While it would be nice to align the reCAPTCHA, I am a newbie to .css and wouldnt even know where to begin.
