[Plugin: WP-Members] Forcing expiry of passwords

  • Hi

    What an amazing plugin.

    Just want to ask:-

I’ve just built a new WP website for a customer who was previously using Joomla. There are a few hundred registered users.

I’m issuing these users with temporary passwords so they can log into the new site, ideally via wp-members and create themselves new passwords.

My question is: Does wp-members have a the ability for users to change their passwords and for admin to expire passwords after eg 30days?

    Thanks
    Andy

Yes, users can change their passwords – this is one of the functions of the members area page.

As for forcing expiry, you might be able to rig something together for that, but I’m not sure of an example off the top of my head. There are various action and filter hooks as well as pluggable functions in the plugin so it is extensible in that regard.

Andy – there are other plug-ins that you can use in conjunction with WPM to help achieve this. Have a look at: ‘User Access Expiration’ in the plug-ins directory.
