    Pages can be individually blocked in the same manner as posts. If the default setting is to not block pages, then to block an individual page, you need to set a custom field of block with a value of true or 1.

    Note: WP 3.1 has now hidden the custom fields option from the page editor by default (along with a number of other options). To turn this on, in the post/page editor, look to the upper right of the screen and pull down “screen options.” Check custom fields.
