    Maybe you upload the html file of the verification to the root of the domain and exlcude this in the settings of the plugin.

    Thanks very much. I’ll certainly try that for the Webmaster Tools verification : thank you for suggesting it.

    Is there also a way to get the Analytics javascript verification code into the <head> of the Maintenance Mode page ? (I see that the changelog for version 1.8.0 says ‘Include all scripts’, but perhaps that’s different ?)
