• Awesome plugin!! It appears that when the “shrink larger images” setting is checked, that the plugin makes the resulting box pop-up of the current browser window size which is great. However, I’d like to see it slightly bigger, relatively speaking. (It’s just a personal preference, as i’d like to see the image ‘just about fill’ the available window space. Seems to be about 70-80% of the height, and i’d like to try 85-90%)

So, where can I adjust the amount? I scanned the code but couldn’t find anything.

FWIW – it would be great if you could make this value, or a fixed PX value a user setting that we could adjust. I can’t complain about having the option to begin with, but to make some basic settings adjustable by the user would give this plug-in 5.5 out of 5 stars 😉

  • I agree. Added to my TODO-list for next release.

Any plans to implement this feature? I would also like to have larger lightbox displayed.

I took a quick swing at this but intelligent sizing – taking into consideration a variable amount of text (image title, caption, set numbering) – proved to be nontrivial.

I’ll get it done proper in june or july, once work calms down a bit.

I’ll also try and create a smoother experience for phone browsers.

I got this request into the new version 1.3! Images now scale considerably larger – maximizing as far as captions and navigation elements allow.

The lightbox will also reflow if you resize the browser window or change orientation of your phone.

If the grey overlay is entirely obscured by a huge image, you can always close the lightbox by clicking the “Close”-button, clicking in the dead center of an image or by hitting X / C or ESC.

Where can I change it so it’s back to the way it was. I like that it takes up as much of the screen as possible but I would like to have some margin.

Woahhh! I have to agree with midwestkel. Definitely do NOT like the maximize the entire usable space. My original request was to make it a USER definable adjustment, not just “make it the biggest possible”. While sounds like it was too hard to make it user definable, i’d rather see it back to the smaller version, not just max out at 100%. (I was just wanting to get it to about 90% from what i assumed was about 75%)

I would like to set it to 90% also.. How can this be achieved?

Please test the development version for me. It enables you to set a minimum margin between the image and the screen edges. Images will not scale larger than that.

I just installed the development release and it works and so does the margin. Thanks for that!

    I tested on Chrome 12 & 13, FF4, IE8 and IE9.
