I had previously installed WP-filebase and had the page ID of the file browser set to a child page under my login page. It worked that when someone clicked on the child page it would redirect them to the login page then after they logged in redirect back to the child page where the file browser was. I uninstalled it, tried out some other plugins then came back to this one and reinstalled. I set it up the same way but now the redirect isn’t working but when an appropriate user level logs in they are able to see the file browser on the set page.
When I reinstalled it also still had my previous settings stored from my first install even though I completely deleted the plugin and files. Is this supposed to happen?
Is there a conflict between explicit permissions and private files? In the security settings it says “Access to files is only permitted to owner and administrators” does this mean if I create a file as an admin no other user can view it? If a user uploads a file using the widget would only that user be able to see those files? I am very confused by this setting, if it lets files be specific to individual users rather than user roles?
