I’ve installed family tree plugin and folled the instructions but can’t create family tree as show in screenshot, please help me how to create it
Are you getting any error messages?

No i didn’t receive any error message. I’ve created the family tree page and paste the short code in it and then i create another page for family members and paste the corresponding short code.Now,tell me how to enter family members in that family member page,there mother name and father name has drop down text boxes but can’t enter any name there tell where to enter those names in order to display in family tree page.
Ok so you probably set it up properly, and now you want to add people to go onto the family tree.
If you add a category called “Family”.
Then add a new post by clicking on “Add post”.
You can make the title of the new post the name of the person, and at the bottom of the page you will be able to set thing like birth date, gender, etc.
In the dropdown you can select who is the mother and father of that person. The dropdown will only show people that are alreade created as posts and are included in the Family category.
If you try this then it should work.
If it doesn’t then let me know. Some people have reported a possible conflict that you can get with other plugins so if you have done everything above, then you might have a problem with another plugin.

Is it possible to upload photos.
When you create a blog post for a person you can specify a thumbnail image. There is a section for that on the “edit post” page.
This thumbnail will be used in the family tree.
Hi chandru again, i developing a new site in wordpress i would like to add family tree in my site for my users.I’ve already installed it and works fine. But the problem once i login as a user i can’t add my family tree. help me in that issue. right now i am running my site locally using xampp.

I’ve been searching for an handy family tree plugin and came to this one and the Geanealogy plugin. The pros for the Geanealogy plugin is that it has its own menu on the left side of the Dashboard. Under the comments menu. (Maybe on your wishlist? *wink wink*) But the cons of that plugin is that it has no tree, only a list of members.
The pros for your plugin is that is has an tree and a neat list of members. I really want to use the tree but it doesn’t show up on my page http://www.daimykommer.nl/stamboom/
I’ve used the code [family-tree] and [family-members] on the same page and also tried it on seperate pages but the tree doesn’t show up. Only a border where it is supposed to be.
Can you tell me what I have to do to let the tree show up?
Oh, and a short wishlist:
– own menu in dashboard
– translated in Dutch
– the possibility to not show up in the post on my home page
