I have set up wp-facebookconnect, along with a FB application to get API key etc.

When some people try to connect, they are connected as the admin user (ID 1) instead of WP-FBConnect creating a new WP user for them. In the same moment, the admin user role is changed to “subscriber” as well.

Have anyone had experiences like this? Any fixes?

I have narrowed it down to the fbc_insert_user() function in common.php, where it fails to create a user, and wp_insert_user apparently returns “1”, which is then reset to subscriber etc.

Hrm, apparently its because the email adress already exists for the user, since it is empty.

    Silkjaer,
I’m the author of this plugin. You’ve identified the problem exactly – thank you for the help! I’ll ship an updated version later today.

This is a bug in wordpress 3.0 only. Let me know if you have any issues.

    Hi,

are you sure it is fixed? I downloaded that version and it logs me in as my facebook account but posts are shown as admin.
