Feature request that will dramatically increase effectiveness:

Can you add a new section to each page/post to allow the author to define their own og:site_name and og:description? The default would be the default values you are using now, but this would give the author a chance to override if desired.

That won’t be going into this plugin anytime soon. The point is to minimal but effective and not have a bunch more confusing metaboxes for people to worry about. There’s some stuff in the roadmap to help with more advanced tuning of the content but for now using the excerpt and title is the way it is.
