    I’m not very familiar with that plugin, but as long as it uses the core authentication hooks (specifically the “authenticate” one), then it should work.

    The labels on the field might not be changed if that plugin does something different with the actual login page though.

    I haven’t tested WP-Members either, but I just took a quick look at that plugin and it does hook into the ‘authenticate’ filter. However, it might be conflicting because their filter runs later than WP Email Login.

    The potential conflicting code in WP-Members is located in wp-members-core.php:

    if( WPMEM_MOD_REG == 1 ) { add_filter( 'authenticate', 'wpmem_check_activated', 99, 3 ); }

    I’m actually having the same issue. I am using the WP-Members plugin to moderate registration, and it’s not letting me activate users.

    Plus, I can’t use an e-mail address to login. So something’s definitely conflicting between the two.

    Just to follow up, I spoke with the developer of WP-Members and he thinks that it’s just the WP-Members login widget that is not compatible with WP Email Login.

    So I think the challenge then is just getting a widget, or creating your own, that will work properly with WP Email Login.
