• Im having an weird image/media management issue that I just cant figure out.

The issue is that whenever I click the “Upload/Insert” “add Image” button, and choose the Media Library tab, it doesn’t list any of the 200+ images that I’ve uploaded in the past.

If I click the “star” “add Media” button, and then choose the Media Library tab it shows all of my images.

Im guessing it has something to do with how the image file type is referenced in the DB.

As for trouble shooting, I deactivated all my other plugins, and uploaded a clean functions.php file. Still nothing.

    any ideas?

Here is a link to an image of how my media tab looks

I was able to “fix” the problem I was having. I say “fix” however I really dont know why the issue happened/happening.

After hours of trial and error, I was able to narrow down the issue to a simple checkbox.

In one of my Custom Post Types, I have a Category titled “Type”. If I uncheck the “Searchable” check box, I am able to see all of my media again.

I have no idea why… but it works.

I imagine it has something to do with the category/system key being called type, and how it related to the search functions of wordpress.
