[Plugin: WP Easy Gallery] doesn't render in IE

I added the following code to my page but the text does not render in IE.
it renders find in Firefox.

[EasyGallery id=’strathconasaltphotogallery’]

I have defined the width, height and image thumbnail path in my photogallery but it still does not work.
