[Plugin: WP e-Commerce] WP ecommerce support data feeds?

  • Tom

Considering trying out this plugin for a clients site which will be using datafeeds from her suppliers site. Will also need to be able to export a csv doc of orders at the end of each day.

Does this plugin support this feature or is there an add-on available for the plugin that anyone knows of?

If not, what’s peoples opinion- use this plugin, try a different WP ecommerce plugin, or use a purpose built shopping cart script such as magento? I am rather experienced with WP and would like to develop an ecommerce site using WP (mainly due to it’s SEO-Friendliness!), but would greatly appreciate your opinions before I go ahead with it.

Not aware of any shopping cart plugin that has automatic data feeds built into it, but I do know you can CSV import/export orders and products, if formatted correctly. If I’m understanding what you’re wanting, building a custom API might make the most sense.

Depending on your goals, I think you can probably do it with this plugin. Give it a go and get your feet wet and see how it goes.
