[Plugin: WP e-Commerce] Custom Fields in products / Personalized Message

Is there any way to add a custom field to a product? Similar to the personalized message feature, but other things and allowing for a different title/custom text. Maybe this is done with the Custom Meta information? Any instructions would be appreciated.

I figured out how to hack the plugin to change the personalized message to what I need, but then it takes that feature away for other products.I just want to add a custom field to enter information for a specific product.

Also, is there a way to show Personalized message (or custom field) on the products list page, instead of just the single-product page? Or at least remove the add-to-cart button from the products list page,
forcing the user to the single-product page before adding to cart.
