Hi Marcel,
I’ve not seen any reports of this behaviour in v3.0; though to be fair it’s early days. To try and get to the root of this I’ll need a little bit more information. Have a look at this article – http://www.vicchi.org/2012/03/31/asking-for-wordpress-plugin-help-and-support-without-tears/ – which lists the information I’ll need. Some of it you’ve already provided, but there’s a lot more configuration and background info in the plugin.

Kind of similar issue since the upgrade – the correct bios are showing up on individual pages, but not on the home page: http://trueweddingblogs.com/
On the home page of my main site, every bio box is credited to the same author, not the correct author of the article.
Again, this is a multisite (which you may not care as much about supporting), but I’m wondering if there is a fix for this.

Hi both of you … this sounds like a theme issue, potentially also a multisite issue as well. Can you both let me know the themes you’re using, plus if possible, download links to the themes?

Hi Gary, thanks for the reply. I am using WP 3.3.1 on a BloggingPro 2.0 theme (download link is at http://designdisease.com/portfolio/blogging-pro-wordpress-theme/). Mine is a self-hosted WP single site with multiple authors/contributors.
Additionally, I noticed that on the Older Entries page (http://getentrepreneurial.com/page/2/), the biography box are showing up but they are all for a specific author Lorraine Cohen even though there are posts by many different authors on that page. Same issue as saxonycreative’s. The bio boxes are still not showing on my front page though.
I upgraded to v3.0 of the plugin. Plugin settings are almost the same as default settings except with some minor changes. This plugin was working very fine until I upgraded to v3.0, so I don’t believe my plugin settings have anything to do with it. What other info or settings do you need?

BTW, I have decided to downgrade back to v2.44. It’s showing up very well for my site. Thanks nevertheless for the help, Gary.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had to take the downgrade path but I do understand why. But I still want to get to the bottom of this. Can you let me have a list of the other plugins you have installed, plus the contents of the wp-biographia-settings field from your wp-options table so I can try as much as possible to reproduce your v2.4.4 environment and then apply the upgrade and see if I can reproduce this?

Hi Marcel,
It could be a caching issue from WP Super Cache; have you tried temporarily disabling it and/or clearing the cache?
I have now had a few other reports of oddness such as yours happening and I’m looking into it as my highest priority.

Clearing the cache did not help.. Previously it was working fine with WP Super Cache on, so I am not sure if that’s causing the problem.

So I think some of the problems you’re both seeing are the same as the one described here.
There’ll be a new version of WP Biographia coming out early to mid next week.
The settings Marcel posted look fine but they’re for v2.4.4 (I believe). I’d really need to see the settings for v3.0 to look at why the Biography Box isn’t appearing on the front page.

Slightly sooner than expected but v3.0.1 is out and on the WordPress repository now. You might want to see whether this release fixes things for you.
