  • Resolved kwoodall

    We just tried to use the flash banner option and it adds the banner fine and shows it fine but the link appears to be undefined. Here is the code it produced that didn’t work.

    <div class="banner_top">

    <div class="wp_bannerize_Top_Banner"><object width="728" height="90" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000">
    <param value="" name="movie">
    <param value="transparent" name="wmode">
    <embed width="728" height="90" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="">

    Hi, the link must be embeded into Flash movie. You can’t use <a> tag for wrap <object> tag.

    Well…darn. Note for the next release…you might want to put a warning about that onscreen when users upload a .swf for a banner – just to save yourself from having to answer questions about it.

    @kwoodall: Hi, ok. I try to show this information. Anyway, I thought it was obvious; the mouse click on Flash movie can’t be catch from html (unless it has been written specifically).

    Thanks for suggestion

    You can’t use <a> tag for wrap <object> tag, gfazioli says. But it is posible to set a param in the object tag, right? (correct me if I’m wrong, not really a code-hero).

    Tell me, is there a way to use the $url from php and get the HTML output below? Using a clicktag in the flash banner you can still change te URL in WP-bannerize.

    <param name='flashvars' value='clickTag=' />

    Would like to hear if this can be done!
