Support » Plugin: WP Ajax Edit Comments » [Plugin: WP Ajax Edit Comments] No Thickbox, just opens in full screen

  • So, I have the same problem as reported in this thread:

    The thing is, I’m kind of a newbie and don’t understand how the problem was solved.

    Sometime ago the WP Ajax Edit Comments and the NextGen Gallery thickbox always worked, but then, it stopped working, openning images or the comment edit in a full page. Since it happens with both plugins, I imagine the problem may be with my theme, but I don’t know how to solve it.

    Can anybody help me?

    It’s definitely the theme.

    You have this line in your source, more than likely in your theme’s header.php file.

    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>

    That’s a VERY old version of jQuery, so I’d just get rid of that line.

    To load jQuery, the proper way is to do <?php wp_enqueue_script( 'jquery' ); ?> before the wp_head() call in the header.php file.

    Hi, thanks for the answer.

    I’ve tried this

    <?php wp_enqueue_script( ‘jquery’ ); ?>

    yesterday, but I removed it because it didn’t solve the problem.

    I’ve put it again and remove the script line that you mention, but when I do that, the comment edition buttons disappear.

    Should I re-intall the plugin after removing the script? Or find a new version of jquery (I’ve already have it, but don’t know how to make it work)?

    Send me your header.php file via e-mail and I’ll take a look. ronalfy [@] gmail . com

    I’ll post the code changes to pastebin for others who may have the same issue.

    BTW, what version of FreshNews are you using? It appears there’s an update from WooThemes that may fix the issue.

    Sent you the e-mail. As for fresh news, I’m using the 1.0 version.
