[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] WordPress Stats apparently falling short according to Google Analytics

I put WordPress Stats on a couple of my sites (racerelations.ws and howtosayiloveyou.net). I installed the program, entered my API key, and got everything seemingly running correctly. For a couple of weeks I noticed that howtosayiloveyou.net was flatlining for the entire time. It was a new site, so I became a little discouraged. After a few more days, I decided to install Google Analytics on the site. After a few more days, I compared WordPress Stats with Google Analytics, and the WordPress Stats program still reflected no visitors, while Google Analytics showed the actual number.

Does anyone have any idea what would cause the discrepancy?
