since upgrading the stats plugin to 1.5.4 and wordpress to 2.8.5, the dashboard widget showing the stats has been broken for my user but works for other users fine

what I’m seeing is an unstyled login prompt as the contents of the dashboard widget (even though i’m obviously logged in)… trying to log in here just causes and endless loop of failed login prompts even though I am actually logged in (going to /wp-admin/ opens the admin)

going to the “Blog stats” link in the navigation bar works fine and the plugin is counting visits ok… I just can’t get the dashboard widget to work, for my user only

I also tried disabling and reenabling the plugin, which prompted me for my API key again, but no change in the described behaviour.

    any ideas?

    thanks,
    Luka

okay, figured it out – on a different blog the styling of the login prompt wasn’t broken… it’s a wordpress.com login prompt… logging in with my wp.com u/p fixed things on the original blog 🙂
