    The following code is being inserted twice into my footer, and every pageload is getting counted twice:

    <!–stats_footer_test–><script src=”http://stats.wordpress.com/e-201113.js” type=”text/javascript”></script>

    How do I get it back down to the right number?

    Please check you theme templates (probably the footer template) and make sure that you only have one instance of <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    I did a search on it in various ways and only found one instance in all theme files.

    But I’ve also installed Jetpack now, and it’s functioning properly that way. I’m content with that, though I’m still curious what was going on…
