[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] Lying with (wordpress) statistics?

  • On `Curving Normality’ I’ve added a detailed comment on the WordPress Stats Plugin. I like the plugin, but I think it mis-represents the number of page-views registered on my blog. Main reasons are that the days that a post does not register a page-view are not shown and that the zero-point on the y-axis is not shown.

For a more detailed version of my argument, please see: http://www.rensenieuwenhuis.nl/archive/lying-with-wordpress-statistics/

It comes down to the suggestion that the folks at WordPress at least would add the possibility for users to manually define the limits of the axes. Or, at the least, allow users to select the visualization of days that no page-views were registered on the x-axis and to have the y-axis start at zero.
