[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] How to show hits on blog page (6 posts)

I installed WordPress.com Stats a while back and everything has been running great.

The only thing I wanted to do that I can't figure out is to put a simple text based hit counter on my front page, so viewers can see how many hit the site has. Is there some simple piece of code I can place in my theme to show the hits from the WordPress.com Stats plug-in without resorting to using a different plug-in?

Although it has not been updated for a while - there's a plugin that does what you want:

    "WordPress.com Stats Helper"

As far as I'm aware it works OK with the current WP and Stats versions.

Not only that, I think with the ability of reading stats, this plugin should also provide ways to display each post hits, top post, or something like that on the blog.

Working with may plugins worries me if they will slow down the access to my website.

anyway, this plugin is really excellent!

    gilig,

The above plugin and this one:

    "WordPress.com Popular Posts"

should give you the means to extract the info you mention.
