  • Weirdly, the Wiki Editor position can open up a Wiki-designated page, but once they try to save changes, they get an error message saying they’re “not allowed to edit this page.” In the meantime, I’ve got three or four contributors that I had to upgrade to Admin level (even Editor wouldn’t work!) just to be able to get any work done.

  • Jeffry Ghazally just helped me troubleshoot the problem: It was Nicholas Zeh’s PHP Execution plugin that was overwriting the permissions for Wiki-Editors. With this resolved, the plugin works great.

How exactly did you solve this? I encountered the same problem and even after deactivating the PHP Execution plugin, the problem still persists.

search other wordpress wiki-tagged posts. i solved this problem using role manager, and developing a custom editor role. it’s at wikiRFM.cyclicandcollective.net.

I’d be interested in anybody who has a strategy for coaxing visitors into editing. i’ve had 400+ hits in 2 weeks, and i can barely get anybody to rate or comment, much less edit.
