  • Why not just upgrade to 3.x?

You’ll need version 3.0 or higher, as is mentioned on the plugins page.

    Just installed WordPress SEO 1.0.3.
    Website now shows 1 line:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_queried_object() in …/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-frontend.php on line 347

Never used seo plugins on this site before.
    I use Worpress 3.2.1

    Any suggestions?

That’s weird. Could you open that file and edit it, see if the error disappears when you replace get_queried_object with $wp_query->get_queried_object ?

WordPress SEO 1.0 seems to work.
    So, problem bypassed.

Well no because that means you can’t upgrade 🙂

Thanks for the fast reply Joost. And thanks for the good plugins.

I do not upgrade very often. I am from old generation.
On other sites I use older wp-seo versions, and I am happy with it.

    Hi Joost and others,

I wonder if you can help. I’m an idiot. I installed the SEO plugin with a non-updated version of WordPress and am now getting this message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function flush_rewrite_rules() in /nfs/c01/h12/mnt/44964/domains/[website]/html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/wp-seo.php on line 87

I want to uninstall and then update WordPress and then reinstall, but when I log in all I can see is the error message so I can’t get to the dashboard. Help!

    Thanks…
