When using the individual page SEO analysis, Yoast doesn’t find the keywords in the content of my pages even when the keyword is contained in caption text, slider text, table text, tabbed content text, etc. Therefore my pages receive a lower SEO rating.
I’m thinking this isn’t well representative of the way spiders work…if they can crawl alt text, why can’t they crawl captions, tabbed content, etc.?
Can anyone speak as to why Yoast does this and if this is something I should pay attention to or ignore? I would have to completely redo the formatting of most of the pages on the site just for Yoast to be happy with my pages…which doesn’t seem like it should be necessary 🙂 But I’m new to SEO and want to make sure I’m not building pages that are unreadable by a spider.
Here’s a sample page on which Yoast can’t find the keyword “heat exchangers” in the content: http://comcoil.com/test/wordpress/heat-exchangers-tube-bundles/
