My post title template was blank. I was able to correct this by entering:
    %%title%% – %%sitename%%

Now the correct og:title is displaying on my posts in 1.2.3.

I use to have the same problem and correct it this way : http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-issues-with-ogtitle-in-cpt

But your way is far more better. I haven’t looked at the gui, which has changed :/

Thanks everyone for finding a solution.

Yoast, if you can fix this automatically that’d be great. Seems like if it’s blank, it should grab the title tag.

Yeah, I just found out the %%title%% – %%sitename%% workaround isn’t ideal, because now my site’s name displays in the og:title tag. Before 1.2.3 my post title template was blank, and the og:title worked properly. Something must have changed in 1.2.3 and caused a bug. Hopefully Joost can comment or fix it in the next version.

I think it is obvious bug, and Joost will fix it. BTW: it seems to be good idea to add template for og:title to “Titles & Metas” tab. og:title usually differs from page title tag (og:title should be just plain post title, page title contain at least site name also, but may contain other things)

It looks like 1.2.4 fixed this issue, but now the site name is included in the og:title, instead of just the post title.

Anyone know how I can exclude the site name in the og:title? Before 1.2.4 only the post title was displayed, but now it includes the site name as well.

I want the post title to be “This is a post – Example.com” but the og:title to be “This is a post”. Is this possible?
