[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] WordPress SEO crashed my site.

  • I just uploaded the SEO zip file and it crashed my site.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function home_url() in /home/mysite/mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-frontend.php on line 369

Is there a quick fix? I’m assuming this happened because I am not running the latest version of WordPress.

    Thanks

  • I experienced something similar. I am using WP 3.3.1 with The Standard Theme template. As soon as I activate WordPress SEO, I cannot access my website. I get the following error:
Server error: The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.leadershipconnexion.com/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

As soon as I deactivate the plug in, my site is back up.
