[Resolved] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] URL rewriting and plugin conflicts

Hi Joost, firstly thanks for all your WP contributions, love the wp-community show too 🙂

I’ve noticed this plugin breaks one of my plugins http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/events-manager/ because it uses querystrings e.g. site.com/events/?event_id=x

Is there something on your plugin settings I can change to get this working? Is this conflict on my side or yours?

It’s a setting that just shouldn’t be on when your plugin is active, called clean permalinks, or you could add the variables you use into the input field below that.

Actually adding a filter wpseo_whitelist_permalink_vars now, in frontend/class-frontend.php, which you can use to register your own variables for “non-cleaning” 🙂

    awesome, that solves it.

So does your plugin clean non-registered query_vars from the url? just got into wp_query last week so this all makes more sense since my last post!

also just noticed that if you have SE’s blocked and the nice reminder you have there doesn’t go away if you click the dismiss plugin.

    great work on this
