There was never a “setting” for that, maybe some custom code you used?

Thank you for the quick reply. You must be right. I don’t remember exactly since it’s been half a year since I put started using the plugin. I remember there was a discussion about this admin bar clutter removal here in the forums, and it’s possible that you, Joost, kindly provided the custom code.

I feel it would definitely be worth to have this setting. Cluttering the admin bar will reduce the user experience. Not all will feel that having a tab for SEO there is clutter, but those who do will appreciate the plugin better for having an option to turn it off. The sites I work with don’t change their SEO settings every month, so an admin bar shortcut to SEO settings is just in the way.

One of the reasons WordPress is years ahead some other CMS platforms is that WordPress has the least amount of clutter in the user interface even with many popular plugins installed. This leads to easier-to-hold concentration for admins and a thus higher productivity. I, for one, appreciate it, and all the plugins that support this. I would say that SEO shouldn’t be in the admin bar by default, but I’d be happy even if it was with an ability to hide it from there.
