I am using Simple:Press but forum titles don't see to pull into this plugin via Meta Data, either does Meta Descriptions, etc. Is there a way to turn off the plugin for the page I have the forum on?

For example http://www.parentingpatch.com/forum is where the forum is located and when I view page source the plugin is pulling in title title and "Forum" but not the forum title.

I'm having this same problem. The "Canonical Settings" under the "Permalinks" section of Yoast SEO is set to "Leave default."

Here's an example page of where the title isn't working as it should:

Title: "Discussion Forum – A Way with Words, public radio's lively language show" — it does not contain the topic name! http://www.waywordradio.org/discussion/topics/doozy/

Here are two images that may help: "Yoast WordPress SEO: Titles & Metas" settings page and "Simple:Press Administration: Components" settings page.

I am also discussing this on the Simple:Press site, but I am thinking this will require developer cooperation.

I managed to solve the problem quite simply by rewriting the title directly in the header.php if I am on the forum page...

You can check detail explaination on my SimplePress forum, and check by the same occation it is workging pretty well:

This should help your forum posts to be indexed by google...
