[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] "This is a Yoast Test Title" -Why?? Switching Themes not

    I dont know why the plugin has messed up all the titles on the site..
    It was working fine till the recent update..
    Now i noticed google is indexing all the pages with “This is a Yoast Test Title” ..
    i read somewhere where i can switch themes back and forth but how do i test to see if it worked?
    I cleared cache,switched themes and have the force rewrite titles OFF..
    a quick search on google shows millions of pages with the same test title

    any advice on how to fix?

    I had the same problem.

    Try going to Titles & Metas and click on Home.

    The Title Template should read: “%%sitename%% – %%sitedesc%%”

    Press “save” and then check your site. Seems you need to ‘refresh’ the Title after the update by re-saving that option.

    Hopefully it works for you, too.

    hi Chris..
    I tried that ..im having a hard time figuring out if it worked because the indexed version is still wrong..
    not sure how i can check whats appearing now..live..

    I did everything Chris and i searched on google and it still doing same thing http://www.anthonypdelagarza.org the only thing I can think of is i change my theme from the standard theme to deco or maybe all the upgrades?

    this is really lame.. why would the developer purposely put a default title with his name and “12345” in the title tag.. just doing a google search shows “This is a Yoast Test Title”
    being used on thousands of sites..why wouldnt he just leave the default wordpress title as page title? why add “yoast test title” ??
    clever/sneaky marketing by Joost?
    either way i wonder how long it will take for google to update the proper titles..

    Im seriously considering ditching this developer and moving to all-in-one seo ..this type of behavior is nonsense..
