Hi, I have a security issue that I am trying to get to the bottom of and it involves your WordPress SEO plugin.
I have recorded several visits coming directly from my hosting acc IP address in the past few days. Bluehost tell me that your plugin is triggering these visitors.
Is it possible that the plugin is triggering a visitor count?
I also have the sitemap option disabled – is it possible for this to be enabled by itself? Twice I have found it enabled and I go ahead and disable it again.
On 25 occasions the url requested is /sitemap_index.xml and the agent is WordPress/3.3.2; http://www.mysite.
On 7 occasions the url is the home page and the agent is WordPress/3.3.2; http://www.mysite.
25 visits on the 17th May between 6.31 and 7.21 am
I called Bluehost at about 9.am and spoke with them for well over an hour.
2 visits at 10.38 am
2 visits at 11.19 am
3 visits between 5.00 and 5.06 am on the 20th May
On the 21st May I had another long conversation with Bluehost and they insist that your plugin is generating these hits.
Please would you tel me if this is possible or not.
