WP SEO adds a column called “Robots Meta” to the columnar Page and Post displays in WP admin. In my case, they all say “Index, Follow” and frankly I have some custom fields I’d rather be able to see at a glance.
I couldn’t find a way to turn this off in the settings. Studying the code, I figured out that I can remove the column filters by adding these lines to my functions.php file:
// remove annoying "Robots Meta" columns that WP SEO puts in remove_filter( 'manage_page_posts_columns',array($wpseo_metabox,'page_title_column_heading'), 10, 1 ); remove_filter( 'manage_post_posts_columns',array($wpseo_metabox,'page_title_column_heading'), 10, 1 ); remove_action( 'manage_pages_custom_column',array($wpseo_metabox,'page_title_column_content'), 10, 2 ); remove_action( 'manage_posts_custom_column',array($wpseo_metabox,'page_title_column_content'), 10, 2 );
Hope this can help someone else, and if anyone can tell me an easier way to turn off this “feature,” I’d like to hear it!
