    I’ve got a category with a certain name, let’s say “my-category”.

Now I’ve created a page with the same name “my-category”. This post has some content and links to three posts within the category as:

Someone could go to read the page and click on the links to go to the respective posts.

Once I check the box “Strip the category base”, the same url “” now directs the user to the archive page for that category.

I need the box checked to display certain other categories and subcategories separately. How do I solve this?

Yep – strange things will happen if there are 2 pages using the same path (URL) i.e. mysite/my-category

The problem is once you strip the /category/ from the path (which would have previously been mysite/category/my-category – both the category archive and your page have the same URL.

-change your PAGE name to something else e.g. my-categories or my-category1 (or anything different) and the problem will be fixed
