[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Plugin shows wrong title on posts page

  • WordPress version: 3.3.2
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.2

I created a new WordPress site, called ‘ABC’, with a static homepage and a posts page called ‘Our Blog’.

The theme I am using uses this in header.php:

    <title><?php wp_title('&laquo;', true, 'right'); ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>

Before installing WordPress SEO, if I went to my posts page, the title showed up as:

    Our Blog << ABC

    which looks good.

I installed WordPress SEO (didn’t change any settings), and changed the theme to have:

    <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>

My posts page now has a completely wrong title – it shows:

ABC - Just another WordPress site

and not the actual blog title.

If I edit my posts page, and look in the ‘Snippet Preview’ section, it shows:

    Our Blog - ABC

which is correct, but this isn’t showing up when I visit the page.

It looks like the plugin might be mixing up the homepage and posts page somehow.

Please add the link to your site so I can see what might be the cause. Also, try the development version, I might have just fixed it… You can download the development version from here, or you can download it directly here.
