    Hello again πŸ™‚

I was tryin to get rid of the Google sitemaps plugin so I gave the XML sitemap function in WordPress SEO a try. I previously disabled the other plugin so I wouldn’t have a conflict between the two.

I chose my settings, saved and clicked the “regenerate” button. When I didn’t find the sitemap.xml file in the root directory I went back in the admin and clicked on the linked “sitemap” in SEO dashboard and here is what I got:

<parsererror xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/xml/parsererror.xml">XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </urlset>.
    Location: http://www.mediasinfo.ro/sitemap.xml
    Line Number 1, Column 1435201:<sourcetext>

I looked at the final line in the file and it looked incomplete.

Any idea what might have happened?

Next step: I disabled the XML function in the WordPress SEO plugin and installed the beta version of Google XML Sitemap.

Funny thing is, after regenerating the sitemap with the google plugin I got this message in my sitemap:
Generated by Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin, this is an XML Sitemap, meant for consumption by search engines

That’s what I wanted from the beginning anyway πŸ™‚

    Thanks!
