I have a long way to go to understand and correctly use the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin (starting with the definitive guide) for the website I am trying to build. Prior to posting on the forum I saw in the Post Types tab where pages can be noindexed. If someone can point me in the right direction and what the level of difficulty is for what I need to do, it would be greatly appreciated. What I need is for all child pages to be noindex by default.
    Thank You

In the general settings tab I checked 'noindex sub pages of archives'

I expected this to set noindex to subpages- pages with a parent page.

Th plugin meta information showed the current status of a child page as index. The child page was also included in the site map without any indication that the page would be crawled but not indexed.

    Thank You

If I am going to have a website, I need to allow a registered user who will not have access to the plugin to create child pages for content and then at times when there is no content for the child page to make the page private. I need child pages not published on the internet.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You
