How to prevent a page of being crawled by search engines? (2 posts)

    Hi!

On my website I'd like to have an 'About me' page, with some information of.... ME!
But I don't want this page, with personal information of myself, to be crawled and displayed by search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. So people won't find this information if they're searching for it by using a search engine like Google.

Is it possible with WP SEO by Yoast to hide a specific page from my website from the search engine's?

    Anyone who has a clue?

You really would help me a lot if you can help me out with this.

PS. This is what i'm using for my website:
    WordPress version: 3.4.2
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.8.7

I'm not sure there is a guaranteed way to do that but the following should help.

If you edit your About Me page you should see the tab "Advanced" in the WordPress SEO settings. Setting index to noindex, follow to nofollow, Include in sitemap to 'never include', and selecting NOODP, NOYDIR, NOArchive, NOSnippet in robots advanced will help.

You could also try using a canonical url on that page.
