    Hi,

i just updated WordPress SEO from 1.0.3 to 1.1.* and I get the following message when accessing my page:

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /SERVERPATH/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-frontend.php on line 91

I tried all 1.1 Versions and they all result in this problem. Reverting to 1.0.3 => no error message any more. WordPress and all other plugins are up to date. Also, I deactivated all other plugins – the error persists.

On another page I do not have any problems with this.

    Any Ideas?

    Regards,
    Dennis

    Still the same with 1.1.4.

As the error does not appear on other pages I guess it might have to do something with the theme – maybe functions.php. Is it technically possible in WP that a theme function can break a plugin?

Yes a theme can break plugins. Try using it with the twentyeleven theme.

Alright. Got it. An old funtion ín the theme header from the time WordPress SEO did not know anything about facebook caused the problem.
