I am getting the following error when attempting to generate the page-sitemap.xml. “HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request” Google Webmaster also won’t accept it. Any thoughts or fixes to this issue? Thanks in advance.

Oh, I didn’t realize it would be so easy. 🙂 I have downloaded and installed the development version. The problem persists.

I’m at a loss, to be honest. I don’t see what’s happening and since I have nothing else to go by I don’t know what to say 🙂 If you can get server error logs for that page we might be able to figure it out a bit more…

Ok, I am very new with this. Where would the log that you need be located? I do really appreciate the help.

Do you have a dedicated server? Or what is it?

It is a hosted server with cpanel. There is an error log in there. Is that what you are looking for?

    Yes.

Either your server is very slow or something weird is happening…

Do I need to check something out? I will check stats.

I just checked my cPanel and do not see any performance issues like CPU throttling.

I do see several of these errors a second however they were also in the last log posted…

[Mon May 21 15:12:02 2012] [warn] RewriteCond: NoCase option for non-regex pattern ‘-f’ is not supported and will be ignored.

I worked with my host provider to determine the errors in the log are not my, but that they may be causing unnecessary stress on the server. The error was causing dozens errors a second. They will solve this issue. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can try. Thanks again for all your help thus far.

My pleasure, let me know if there’s any improvement!
