Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Duplicate title tags

  • I have installed the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin but when I go to google webmaster tools under the “HTML Suggestions” I find I have “Duplicate title tags.”

I understand that most of this is because of my site has an archive section. Yet I still want users to be able to search my page by using the archive by date, author, etc. I just dont want google to index those duplicate pages.

When I disabled the author archive and date-based archives in the “Archive Settings” of the plugin all those author links and the whole archive page got disabled on my site so I unchecked them.

I have checked off the following in Indexation rules:
Subpages of archives and taxonomies, Author Archives, Date-based archives, and Tag archives but google still shows I duplication issues.

So I wanted to know if anybody knew exactly what I need to do to stop all the duplicate title tags?

    Appreciate any help.

    Cheers Michael
