• Yoast installed fine, I filled out the settings. But even after a restart, there’s no sitemap where it says (molvray.com/acid-test/sitemap_index.xml), it doesn’t generate SEO titles, under “snippet” it shows the permalink but no snippet. (I did edit my header.php file to have the <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title> line, and also checked “Force Rewrite Titles” in desperation.) My excerpt length is set to 100 characters in WP, but nothing shows up. And so on. When I enter a “Focus keyword” in the SEO section under a post I’m editing, it gives me page analysis, and seems to be seeing the post properly, but other than that: no signs of life.

    What am I doing wrong?

Hmm. Not sure what it’s doing. I looked at page source, and the comment about “optimized by Yoast” is there, plus the first sentence as an excerpt. So that’s good.

But why doesn’t it show that sentence as being the snippet on the editing page?

And I still don’t see a sitemap. Any way to check whether it’s actually being generated somewhere?
