    Ah ha. figured it out.

    Just in case someone else has this issue – for some reason i was having an issue where unchecking the “Add OpenGraph Meta Data” didn’t do anything and the OG tags were staying in the header. I had to deactivate the plugin then reactivate, go back to social (the add og meta box was checked) and unchecked the box. Works fine now, must have been a wordpress cache issue, strange.
