    That’s by design, as otherwise you’ll get issues with duplicate meta tags in Google Webmaster Tools. You have the option to noindex, follow the subpages as well now, which I think is even better.

    thanks for getting back to me.

    Yep. Basically you´re right. I just thought it would make a difference by adding %%pagenumber%% at the end of the meta description (and title). It wouldn´t still trigger a duplicate warning, or would it?
