  • Is it possible to call the wordpress popular posts within a loop in one of my template files at all? I’ve seen the template tag, but I have some custom loops that are using a jquery slider that would make it difficult/impossible to use it with a widget.

Here is an example of the way the slider should look/work

cycles through 4 slides, and user can click either one. I would like to do it so they are the four most popular posts, it currently uses four different div’s as a jquery slider and im not sure how to do integrate it as a widget, but if I could somehow call the popular posts within the loop in my template that would make things easier.

    Hi there,

You could use the Custom HTML Markup to alter the output and change it to fit your needs and have it integrated with your code.

There are other solutions I can suggest but I need to know more. Are you using a jQuery plugin to create the slider or you are coding it yourself?
